In an effort to build a positive relationship with the area’s First Nation communities, Grade 8 students at John Paul II Collegiate recently went on a tour to Sweetgrass First Nation. The visit started on the morning of Oct. 3, with chief and council meeting the students and explaining their role in the community. Students later visited the band office, school and health clinic and had lunch at a local elder’s house that included soup and bannock. Photos submitted
