Ominous Skyscape — The storm clouds gathered in spectacular fashion on the evening of Tuesday, June 26. Although it appeared great power was brewing there have been no reports of the storm doing damage in the area. Photo by Kari Doig

A Rustic Hole in One — On May 29, Angele Vany from rural North Battleford, was golfing with her sister at the Rustic Nine golf course when she got a hole in one on number nine. Vany is seen in the photo receiving a hole in one key chain as well as golf glass from owner Elaine Liebaert. Photo by Victor Liebaert

Sons of the Pioneers Tumble into Dekker Centre — The Sons of the Pioneers brought their cool, clear sounds to the Dekker Centre June 21. The band spoke with a few fans before the show. Pictured are: front row - fiddler Bruce Hoffman, guitarist and trail boss Tommy Nallie, singer Dusty Rogers (Roy’s son); back row - Ken Lattimore (fiddle and vocals) and John Fullerton (vocals, rhythm guitar and bass).

From the Sons of the Pioneers website: “People often comment how difficult it must be for Roy “Dusty” Rogers Jr. to stand on stage in his father’s shadow. Dusty quickly responds, ‘As Roy’s son, it is not my job to stand in my father’s shadow. But it is my job to lengthen it, and that is what I try to do onstage everyday.’” Photos by Josh Greschner
